Digital Theme Week 2026
Now in its 11th year, Digital Theme Week is Hungary’s most significant initiative in the field of digital pedagogy, extending its reach even beyond the national borders.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, Digital Theme Week will take place between March 23 and 27, 2026. Officially included in the academic calendar, the program aims to develop the digital and 21st-century competencies of children in kindergarten, public education, and vocational training through the implementation of pedagogical projects. Every year, institutions and partners can signal their participation by displaying new, unique online badges.
As part of Digital Theme Week, institutions can submit educational projects that consist of at least 5 lessons/sessions and utilize digital tools to support the pedagogical process via an online form. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for narration, music, or visual content generation in submitted videos is strictly prohibited.
The program offers numerous cooperation opportunities for Partners—organizations, companies, universities, public collections, and experts. They can offer free programs for students and teachers, promoting the importance of digitalization and encouraging the conscious use of digital technology. They can be demonstration lessons, interactive presentations, workshops in schools, hosting student groups at the partner's location, virtual presentations, or professional trainings for teachers. Partners can share project plans, methodological descriptions, and app demonstrations on the official Knowledge Base website.
Upon registration, they are marked with a red pin on the program map and receive the Digital Theme Week Partner Badge.
A traditional and highly popular element of the event is the system of grants and special prizes. Supporting partners can offer special awards (tangible gifts or programs) or provide funding for prizes that align with both the program's goals and the partner's profile.
The Awards Ceremony will take place in June 2026 within the framework of a professional conference.
The DT’s coordination team supports teachers through weekly online webinars. Professional partners are invited to hold presentations on scientific, subject-specific, or methodological topics. These sessions are uploaded to the Digital Theme Week YouTube channel, which currently hosts over 330 educational videos.
