Didacta Italy 2026: the “Learning Lab” network charts the course for Italian schools | April, 2026
The 2026 edition of Didacta Italia hosted the annual meeting of the National Network dedicated to the innovation of learning spaces. The event, titled “The Learning Lab Becomes a Network: from the Future Classroom Lab experience to the most recent innovations in Italian schools,” strengthened the transition from individual experiments to a structured ecosystem of schools of excellence.
International Conference on Innovation and Wellbeing at School | October, 2025
Improving wellbeing at school and designing new educational spaces, drawing on international experiences, were the focus of the international conference "Flexible Learning Spaces: Develop Innovative Learning & Wellbeing," held on October 9 in Città di Castello, in the province of Perugia.
New FCL European Schoolnet pages in Italian on the Indire web portal | June, 2025
In order to make FCL materials accessible to a wider audience of people who work in the world of school but also of political decision-makers and families with children at school, some web pages in Italian have been implemented in a special section of the portal of the Italian National Institute for Educational Research and Documentation (INDIRE).
Future Classroom Lab at Didacta Italia 2025 | March, 2025
In the Indire stand at Didacta Italia, an important meeting was held on March 12, 2025, with Italian schools participating in the Innovative Learning Lab Network of European Schoolnet. The meeting was coordinated by the FCL Lead Ambassador for Italy, Massimo Belardinelli, and the Indire research group coordinator, Raffaella Carro.
“School from Future”, a new approach to the School System Design | December, 2024
The "School from Future" model developed at Polo Fermi-Giorgi in Lucca, which recently joined the FCL Eun network, embodies a forward-thinking educational paradigm. It moves beyond the traditional notion of knowledge transmission to establish an open learning ecosystem that fosters collaboration among all stakeholders in education: teachers, students, families, local authorities, universities, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Schools Senza Zaino meet Future Classroom Lab by European Schoolnet | October, 2024
On September 6 and 7, 2024, an important training meeting was held at the Comprehensive Institute of Leno, organized by the Ic Leno, which serves as the reference school for the province of Brescia for Scuole Senza Zaino. The event was attended by a strong representation from Schools across other provinces in Lombardy, drawing an audience of about 200 school leaders and teachers.
The "S. Filippo" DD Joins the Innovative Learning Labs Network | June, 2024
The San Filippo Teaching Directorate of Città di Castello has joined the Innovative Learning Labs Network. This autonomous educational institution, consisting of six preschools and six primary schools, operates in two municipalities in the northern part of the Umbria Region.
