Bootcamps in Flanders

Since 2023, ICT bootcamps have become a cornerstone in Flanders' education system. Through these bootcamps, the Kenniscentrum Digisprong aims to enhance the ICT skills of school teams via government initiatives. This enables school teams to participate a tailored ICT professionalization program free of charge, always guided by the DigCompEdu framework.

Bootcamps 1.0 (January 2023 - January 2025)

Parcel 1

Parcel 1 of Bootcamps 1.0 focuses on the professionalization of school teams to promote digital transition in primary education. This parcel emphasizes guidance programs for primary schools to enhance the ICT skills of teaching teams. This project is carried out by Fourcast.

Parcel 2

Parcel 2 of Bootcamps 1.0 targets the professionalization of ICT coordinators across all educational levels (excluding higher education). It provides support for designing and implementing an ICT policy plan and realizing a shared ICT vision. This bootcamps arealso carried out by Fourcast.

Bootcamps 2.0 (February 2024 - February 2026)

Bootcamps 2.0 focus on the professionalization of school teams to promote digital transition in secondary, adult, and part-time arts education. Through tailored e-modules and in-person coaching sessions, school teams receive the necessary support based on the specific needs of the school. This Bootcamps 2.0 are carried out by Impact Connecting, Schoolmakers, and D-Learning.

Bootcamps AI/XR (March 2025 - March 2027)

The AI/XR bootcamps aim to professionalize school teams in primary, secondary, adult, and part-time arts education regarding artificial intelligence and extended reality in schools. Through tailored e-modules, webinars, and in-person sessions, school teams receive support in the responsible use of AI and/or XR. This project is carried out by Impact Connecting, Schoolmakers, D-Learning, Vives, and UCLL
