FCL Türkiye: local training and international collaboration activities continue across provinces

Following the ToTs, starting from November 2024, the teacher training started in 81 provinces across Türkiye. The teachers got local face-to-face and online training from nearly 300 trainers across the country on the Innovative Classroom Model, Active Learning and Digital Technology use in these classrooms. With the online and face-to-face courses held in the whole country, approximately 51.000 teachers got training. Below are some information about the local training courses held until now:

Adana: Between April 28 and May 30, 2025, four rounds of “Active Learning in Innovative Learning Spaces” training were held in Karaisalı and Kozan districts, reaching approximately 80 teachers.

Giresun: Between March 25 and May 6, 2025, six FCL introduction events were organised across various districts. A total of 219 teachers from 14 districts participated in sessions focused on the integration of eTwinning and Future Classroom Lab concepts into teaching practices.

Tokat: In April and May, a variety of FCL activities were organised at Zile Fen Lisesi. These included local in-service training sessions for 32 teachers, FCL workshops with international participants from Romania, Poland, and France through Erasmus+ projects, and student-centred sessions introducing the FCL model and digital learning strategies. These initiatives continue to expand innovative teaching practices and support international cooperation through the FCL framework.

Bursa: Between March and May 2025, several FCL activities were held in Bursa to promote innovative teaching.

  • On March 13, a planning session with 5 academics and 10 teachers was held at Bursa Technical University to develop joint digital and pedagogical training programmes.
  • On April 2–3, 30 teachers at Zübeyde Hanım Secondary School participated in training on active learning, Web 2.0 tools, and student-centered classroom design.
  • On April 8–9, 20 teachers and 10 school leaders engaged in mentorship-focused sessions at BTSO Social Sciences High School, emphasizing sustainability of innovative practices.
  • On April 9, a seminar at Bursa Technical University introduced FCL principles to 16 teachers and 260 students through interactive presentations and scenario-based learning.
  • On May 6–7, 25 teachers at Şehitler Secondary School received training on AI tools (ChatGPT, Canva, Gemini) and their ethical, safe classroom integration.

These events supported teacher development, student engagement, and the expansion of FCL practices in Bursa.
