Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology Gila Gamliel Visits the Innovation House in Petah Tikva
On August 21st, 2024, during the summer break, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Gila Gamliel, paid a visit to The Innovation House and was deeply impressed by the rich activities and extensive initiatives that integrate entrepreneurship and innovation across all ages and genders.
During her tour, the Minister observed the activities of various communities and groups that regularly operate at the Innovation House.
These included the Net@ Youth Movement (Appleseeds technological youth group) Metalbox, the Municipal Robotics Youth Unit, and even tried her hand at operating a robot created by the unit.
She also met with kids from the #GPT gaming community at the Innovation House, who were engaged in designing games using SuperMarioMaker2 at our NintendoLab.
Together with the Mayor, Rami Grinberg, and Aviv, an 11-year-old #GPT member, they discussed how video games can enhance problem-solving skills, teamwork, and creativity during a Minecraft Party Block workshop led by Arcademy.
The Minister was impressed by our groundbreaking ecosystem, which seamlessly integrates industry (both hi-tech and low-tech), employment, and education, creating a unique environment for development and mutual enrichment for kids, youth, and adults.
