Tarragona adds a new FCL in the Spanish Aula del Futuro network for teacher training

Spain's establishment of a nationwide network of Future Classroom Labs for teacher training represents a crucial step forward in modernising educational practices as well as the growth of the Aula del Futuro project. This initiative is a key element of a larger project spearheaded by the National Institute of Education and Technologies, in partnership with autonomous communities, private companies, and educational institutions.

This new addition in Tarragona, on April 18th, joins the eleven Future Classroom Labs already in operation, which have collectively trained around 3,800 individuals through 89 courses. While the primary beneficiaries have been teachers, the training has also extended to other roles such as training advisors and program managers within educational administrations. The core aim of this project is to serve as a reference model for educators, encouraging them to implement methodological changes in their daily practices. By fostering the creation and organization of flexible spaces in their educational institutions, the project promotes the adoption of active teaching methodologies.
