The Instituto Nacional de Tecnología y Formación Profesional del Profesorado (INTEF) recently concluded a highly successful series of seven specialized mixed modality courses designed to prepare teacher trainers for Future Classroom Lab (FCL) initiatives across autonomous regions. Held from September to November, these courses targeted members of the National Ambassadors Network as well as teacher trainers from various autonomous communities, equipping participants with cutting-edge strategies and tools to advance innovative teaching practices. Topics included immersive learning, the integration of generative AI, robotics for active learning, computational thinking, AI-driven personalized education, audiovisual and 3D design, and the strategic use of educational spaces. This comprehensive program underscores INTEF’s commitment to fostering transformative educational practices nationwide.

The open house events for this new school year have begun already, starting with a visit from a group of university students currently pursuing degrees in Teaching and Secondary Education Teaching Practices. During their visit, they had the opportunity to learn about the project and explore, through a hands-on workshop, the various possibilities that robotics offers for different educational levels.

Teacher training across the autonomous communities

At the same time, the different autonomous communities are offering training for their teachers in the Aula del Futuro project.

In the region of Andalusia, various training initiatives have been carried out. Below are some examples of the programs implemented in this area.

“Educational Radio and Podcasting in the Aula del Futuro” This course equips educators with tools to implement radio and podcasting projects, enhancing communication skills and fostering active, collaborative learning in a modern, student-centered environment.

“Competential assessment in Secondary School. Tecniques, instruments and evaluation criteria and grading”. This training, held in the Aula del Futuro at CEP Granada, focuses on understanding Andalusia’s legal framework for evaluation, distinguishing between evaluation and grading, and using practical strategies to implement competency-based student assessments aligned with current regulations.

“¡Get into action! Cooperative learning from a competential linguistic approach under the project Future Classroom Lab” This course empowers language teachers to integrate cooperative learning and the Classroom of the Future methodologies, focusing on creating inclusive and dynamic linguistic learning environments. A key objective is understanding how the AdF zones support cooperative learning.

In parallel, another training program in Castilla y León focuses on the concept of flexible learning spaces and their diverse possibilities under the title "EFFA: Educational Possibilities and Technological Devices," this initiative explores the innovative potential of adaptable environments and modern tools in education.

LEARNING SCENARIOS AND ACTIVITIES READY TO BE USED

During last september, we launched a wide range of resources designed to be used and adapted in classrooms across all educational levels: Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary. These materials include learning scenarios and practical activities that incorporate innovative methodologies and technological tools, fostering dynamic and meaningful educational experiences. Our goal is to support the implementation of modern pedagogical strategies tailored to the needs of each educational stage, promoting active learning and creativity in the classroom.
